Gahkku – Sami Glower
Cooking Time1 h 30 m
Ingredients9
DifficultyMedium
Coffee bread, pour bread, Gáhkku or Sami glow cake - the names are many, but the bread itself is as simple and good regardless. There is something very homely about baking it in the pan or on a muurikka, while the fragrance spreads in the kitchen. The bread fits nicely to a musty pot, a smoking soup or something newly grilled from the tip.

- Step: 310 dl wheat flour (10 dl equals 600 g)
- Step: 42 dl (2 dl corresponds to 120 g)

- Step: 81 dl liquid honey
- Step: 93 msk neutral oil
Instructions

- Step: 2Heat water and milk to about 37 °C, finger warm. Mix the liquid with the dry ingredients as well as honey and oil. Enjoy a smooth dough at least 5 minutes. Let the dough ferment overcovered to double size about 1 hour.
- Step: 3Share the dough in about 15 pieces (for 15 ports) and roll to balls. Cover with a bakery. Heat a fry pour or pan to medium heat. Press a degball gently with your hands to a flat cake. Do not push too hard without trying to keep the air formed during fermentation.
